Weekly Mentoring Session – Strengthen Your Parent-Child Connection
Parenting is busy, and it’s easy to let one-on-one time slip through the cracks. That’s why we created these Mentoring Session Sheets—to give each of our children dedicated time to share, connect, and grow with us every week.

How It Works:
Each week, we sit down with one of our children for a 30-minute mentoring session. This is their time to share what’s going on in their life, set goals, and receive encouragement. The structure of the sheet helps guide our conversation while keeping it meaningful and focused.
How to Use the Mentoring Sheet:
✅ Exciting News – This is the child’s chance to share something they’re really proud of or something that happened during the week that made them happy.
✅ Weekly Calendar – Helps us see their upcoming schedule and commitments for the week.
✅ Goal Progress – We check in on past goals (spiritual, physical, and educational) and discuss what’s working or where they need support.
✅ New Goals & Commitments – They set new, achievable goals for the coming week.
✅ Strengths & Struggles – A space to acknowledge what they’re excelling at and where they need extra encouragement.
✅ Fun Goal for the Week – A lighthearted way to encourage balance and joy in their week.
✅ Date with Dad/Mom – Since we do one-on-one dates with each child once a month, this section comes up about twice a year per child. It’s a fun way to look forward to that special time together!
✅ What Do I Need from Mom/Dad? – Gives them a chance to express any needs, whether it’s help with a project, more time together, or emotional support.
✅ Relationship Check-In – A chance for them to reflect on how things are going at home with parents and siblings.
These weekly mentoring sessions create a safe space for deep conversations and give us a clear picture of what’s happening in each child’s life. Over time, they build trust, strengthen relationships, and help us parent with more intention.
